Aditya Dhar Reveals the Film’s Interesting History
In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Aditya Dhar—who backed Dhoom Dhaam—confirmed that the film was initially titled Raat Baaki and was set to star Katrina Kaif and Fawad Khan.
The project was planned back in 2016 and was supposed to mark Dhar’s directorial debut. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the film never took off. Years later, the same story was reworked and modernized, leading to the final version of Dhoom Dhaam, directed by Rishab Seth.
Dhar explained:
"It was the same story, but we tweaked it a little bit. We made it contemporary and a story of today's times."
What Is Dhoom Dhaam About?
The film follows an oddball couple—Yami Gautam’s Koyal and Pratik Gandhi’s Veer—who get caught in a chaotic chase on their wedding night. Dodging goons and cops, they embark on a frantic hunt for the mysterious ‘Charlie’, making for a thrilling yet fun-filled ride.

Sima Taparia’s Scene Got Edited Out!
Another fun fact revealed by Aditya Dhar is that Sima Taparia from Indian Matchmaking had actually filmed a scene for Dhoom Dhaam! She was supposed to appear at the start of the film, arranging the match between Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi’s characters. Unfortunately, the scene was edited out during the final cut.
