NCT DREAM's Renjun Returns from Hiatus for New Single, but Sits Out US Tour


Fans of NCT DREAM have reason to celebrate as Renjun makes a notable return after a hiatus due to health issues. The beloved vocalist and dancer of NCT DREAM and NCT U has been on a break since April, focusing on his recovery. On August 9, SM Entertainment announced that Renjun’s health has improved significantly, allowing him to participate in the group's upcoming single,"Rains in Heaven."

Single Release Date: "Rains in Heaven" will be released on August 23, marking Renjun’s first major project since his break.

Promotion Involvement: Renjun will participate in promotional activities for the single but will not join NCT DREAM's US tour, "THE DREAM SHOW 3: DREAM( )SCAPE," due to health reasons.


Scheduled for release on August 23, "Rains in Heaven" marks Renjun’s first major project since his hiatus. The single, along with its promotional activities, will see Renjun rejoining his group members, much to the delight of fans who have eagerly awaited his return.


However, while Renjun will be involved in the single’s release and related promotions, he will not be part of NCT DREAM’s US tour, "THE DREAM SHOW 3: DREAM( )SCAPE." According to SM Entertainment, Renjun’s doctor has advised against him participating in the extensive tour schedule at this time. As a result, Renjun will be sitting out the concerts in the United States to ensure his continued recovery.


The agency also mentioned that Renjun’s participation in future activities will be evaluated based on his health, with further updates to be provided as needed.


NCT DREAM, a dynamic sub-unit of the larger NCT group, continues to impress with their innovative approach to music and performance. With 26 members across various sub-units, including NCT 127, NCT U, WayV, and the recent addition NCT WISH, the group remains a vibrant force in the K-pop scene.
