According to Pinkvilla's sources, the film will depict a real-life story from the early career of Ajit Doval, featuring Ranveer Singh in a role set in Punjab, which necessitated a significant transformation, including a beard. R Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna will portray senior officers from the Indian Intelligence Agency, R&AW, adding depth and intrigue to the storyline.
