On May 14, the Incheon District Prosecutors’ Office Criminal Division 1 announced the indictment of Ms. A, the individual behind the YouTube channel Sojang, on charges of defamation and insult. Ms. A was found guilty of slandering seven celebrities and influencers, including Jang Wonyoung, by repeatedly posting fabricated videos on her channel from October 2021 to June 2023.

Ms. A posted 19 defamation videos targeting five celebrities, including Jang Wonyoung, spreading false information and disrespecting their agencies’ work ethics.
